LOu Moser
LOu Moser is an experienced ceramic artist with a rich background in art. She grew up in the historic meeting place of her parents' hotel in Hinterbrühl, near Vienna, and was surrounded by a creative environment from an early age.
Her journey with ceramics began in this creative atmosphere, where she began working with clay and exploring the possibilities of this medium. After following her inner vision, LOu moved to New Zealand, where she spent 15 years in the northernmost part of the South Island honing her craft. During this time, she focused on the art of mosaic and the production of mosaic tiles, winning awards in the fields of ceramics and photography. She also created mosaic works for public spaces and showcased her talent and creativity.
After returning to Austria in 2011, LOu and her partner Gus M. Scott founded Kunsthof Scott-Moser, a ceramic studio in the south of Vienna. Together, they offer courses in mosaic and ceramics, with particular emphasis on creating mosaic art for public spaces and sculptural works that include ceramic figures and mosaics. LOu's work is internationally recognized and can be found in public and private collections in various countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Austria, the UK, the USA and Germany.
In addition to her artistic activities, LOu expanded her expertise by completing qualified training as a clay field therapist from 2021 to 2026. She now offers clay field sessions in her studio and combines her passion for ceramics with therapeutic practices.
LOu's artistic influences are varied and range from renowned ceramic artists such as Lucie Rie and Henry Moore to sculptors such as Niki De St Phale and Antoni Gaudi. She is also inspired by musicians such as Franz Schubert and contemporary artists such as Pippiloti Rist and Libby Bold. In addition, her partner Gus M. Scott and other artists such as Rosette Gault and KT Gold have played an essential role in shaping their artistic journey.
